Moremi Game Reserve occupies a large part of the central and eastern Okavango Delta, combining dry land with permanent water. It is regarded as one of the richest wildlife areas in Botswana, with a good mix of habitats in a relatively small area.
What you can do here
Game drives are the main activity, with the chance to see lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and many antelope, alongside strong birdlife around the lagoons and floodplains. Some camps also offer boat trips when water levels allow.
When to go
June to October is the usual choice, when water in the Delta and the dry surroundings concentrate wildlife. Conditions vary with the flood, so we advise on timing when planning.
Adding it to your safari
Moremi is typically combined with other parts of the Delta and with Chobe. We arrange the flights between camps.
